Hubspot Jobs - Marketing software company already employs about 200 people in Ireland

HubSpot, the US-headquartered company behind a popular software platform for inbound marketing, is to create 320 jobs in Dublin over the next three years.

The company, which already employs about 200 people in Ireland, said the new roles will be across sales, marketing, services, support and engineering.

The announcement comes as HubSpot is to officially open its new offices at One Dockland Central, formerly the Commerzbank House office block in the IFSC.

The new offices are located around the corner from the original HubSpot Dublin base at North Quay Wall. This is where the company established operations in Ireland in September 2012, when it opened its European headquarters there.

HubSpot was founded by Brian Halligan and Dharmesh Shan in June 2006 at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). It now has more than 18,000 customers in 90 countries.

Its software offers integrated applications including social media, search engine optimisation, blogging, website content management, marketing automation, email, customer relationship management (CRM), analytics and reporting.

Headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and with other offices in Singapore and Sydney, the company employs over 1,000 people worldwide. HubSpot has raised more than $100 million over the years, with investors including Sequoia CapitalGoogle Ventures and Salesforce. com.

“Dublin was the first international location for us and it was a no-brainer to base ourselves here,” Hubspot’s managing director of EMEA, Christian Kinnear, told The Irish Times.

“Everybody who is looking for the type of career we can offer is thinking Dublin first, which is fantastic for us. Within a two-mile radius of where we are based are thousands of people who have the right profile for the roles we’re looking to fill and we have plenty to offer them,” he added.

HubSpot’s latest expansion is supported by the Department of JobsEnterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.

We are incredibly pleased to see HubSpot increase its commitment to Ireland and its efforts to build a company with not only a strong corporate culture but with strong Dublin roots,” said Martin Shanahan, chief executive of IDA Ireland.

“In its few years in Dublin, HubSpot has created fantastic opportunities across all business functions and we’re excited about the opportunity that they will continue to bring to the city as they grow,” he added.
