Dear Miss Whooley,
I recently saw a copy of your very informative graduate recruitment brochure in the Careers Office of Limerick Institute of Technology. It states that you recruit Accounting Trainees every year. I am very keen to gain a place on a graduate scheme with such an excellent reputation as yours. One of my neighbours works in the Marketing Department and has told me what a great company it is to work for. I am therefore interested in gaining an interview with you during your forthcoming ‘milk round’ recruiting trip to LIT.
For your information:
- I will graduate with a First or 2.1 BSc degree in Accounting this June
- I can state confidently that I have been a dedicated student and have been recognised by the college for my academic achievements through the receipt of various awards, the details of which are shown on my enclosed CV
- As my CV shows, I have been continually employed, either full- or part-time, since the age of fifteen in jobs dealing with figures and handling cash.
- Despite my heavy workload, I have also managed to squeeze in a healthy choice of external sporting and charity activities because of my ability to effectively plan and manage my time.
- My sound academic accomplishments, strong work ethic, drive, organisation skills and passion for the accounting discipline will hopefully convince you that I have the basic ingredients to make a valuable contribution to the Company’s graduate scheme.
I hope you are impressed with what you see on my CV and I look forward to meeting you at the recruiting interviews. Thank you.
Yours sincerely,
