Career Guidance Counsellors – Questioning Within a Session – While I was studying as a career guidance counsellor, we had to undertake mock and real career guidance sessions.  These sessions were recorded for assessment and reflection by fellow career guidance counsellors and my fellow students.  A very thorough process.  In order to prepare myself as a successful career guidance counsellor, I composed a like of questions that I could use throughout a career guidance session.  Obviously, I memorised them all!!

 

Within a ‘later’ career guidance blog, I will discuss the important of questions in terms of the career guidance session and how it may facilitate career guidance counsellors.  However, for now, I thought it might be beneficial to list my list of questions that may all career guidance counsellors.

 

Remember, the role of the career guidance counsellor is to broaden the clients horizons, identify and consider all possibilities.
