Diageo Graduate Programme

Our Graduate Programme

Diageo is the world’s leading premium drinks company. Custodians of some of the most loved iconic brands such as Guinness®, Smirnoff®, Johnnie Walker® and Tanqueray®. Our purpose, Celebrating Life, every day, everywhere, is to make the most of life – to be the best we can be at work, at home, with friends and family, in the community and for the community.

At the core of everything we do lies our value; passionate about customers and consumers, freedom to succeed, proud of what we do, be the best and valuing each other.

With over 33,000 talented people employed globally, we consider our people our biggest assets and continue to succeed as a company because of the talent of our people and our ability to grow our brands, old and new, and keep them strong. We are a company built and sustained through innovation which gives us the drive to create new products, new categories and new experiences for consumers.

Our graduate programme is a three year adventure during which you’ll find yourself challenged and inspired to reach your full potential. You’ll be introduced to many of our Diageo leaders in different countries so you can see the differences – and the similarities – in how we operate around the world.  You’ll also enjoy the backing and support of a mentor and buddy who will help you successfully navigate your career.

Working for a company of our size brings with it an enormous diversity of people and opportunities. We’ll introduce you to global networks so you can experience different cultures and make new friends and professional connections.  Plus, if you want it, there may even be an opportunity to live and work abroad so you can experience first-hand what it’s like to live and work in another country.

We offer graduate placements in five business flavours:

  • Commercial Sales
  • Marketing
  • Finance
  • HR
  • Supply

and we encourage you to apply where your true passion is.  But whichever placement you join us on, you’ll find we employ the same approach to your development, providing you with two to three rotations within your chosen programme over three years.

We are looking for graduates who have the capability to succeed in the organisation today but also have the potential to be the leaders for tomorrow. Being fully committed to their role from the beginning, showing energy and enthusiasm in everything they do – following their instincts and standing up for what they feel is right both for them and for Diageo.

Our culture is rooted in a deep sense of our purpose and values, fostering an environment that provides opportunities for all while celebrating cultural and individual diversity. With a flexible approach to working, competitive salaries, great benefits and opportunities to work on local or global community initiatives, Diageo gives you the perfect springboard to start your career.
