he Trinity MSc in Financial Risk Management is designed specifically for graduates who have a primary undergraduate degree in a quantitative field and who are interested in how the tools of finance can be used to mitigate risks for corporations and society.  Trinity College is a university partner of the Professional Risk Managers’ International Association http://www.prmia.org/, one of the world’s leading risk management bodies. Our programme will complement your foundation degree providing a thorough grounding in the concepts and techniques of financial risk management and providing you with the skills you need to lead, manage and create in today’s complex risk environment. Developed in consultation with industry, the MSc is designed to provide you with leading edge skills, embedded in a holistic framework.

Programme Content:

Industry professionals, practitioners and consultants from around the world teach students how to forecast, react and minimalise risk within their chosen field. Throughout the programme, students will learn about the three pillars of risk that influence industries across the globe:

  • Market Risk
  • Credit Risk
  • Operational Risk

Students will have the opportunity to receive training on Bloomberg through our specialised Bloomberg terminals. The programme also prepares students for the FRM examinations. FRM is the globally recognised professional designation for financial risk managers, giving students a competitive advantage in the global marketplace. Trinity College is also a partner of the Professional Risk Managers’ International Association, one of the world’s leading risk management bodies.

Canary Wharf Internship

The highest performing student in behavioural trading will earn a trip to Canary Wharf in London, where they will learn from trading practitioners in a live environment and gain unprecedented experience to move forward in their career.

Entry Requirements:

Admission to the course is competitive, and is normally restricted to graduates who have achieved an upper second class honours degree or better in finance or a quantitative subject such as economics, mathematics, statistics, operational research, informatics, computer science, physics, or engineering.
