The Leaving Cert and Undergraduate Courses

Your leaving certification examination (the leaving cert) marks the completion of your time at your secondary school. At the same time, it also makes you embark on a new journey either to find work or to further education to enrich your career. The immediate next level of education after the leaving cert is the undergraduate education in the Ireland.

We offer you information and resources to help you prepare you for the leaving cert after the junior cert. During your two years of preparation (optionally, three years) for your leaving cert, you would find valuable resources that will guide you on how to achieve better grades and results, choose your subjects, and other crucial study advice.

Applications to CAO for undergraduate courses

For those who have successfully completed their leaving cert, we provide excellent support by offering advice and resources for applying to the undergraduate courses. These applications are centrally received and the application process is entirely governed by CAO (Central Applications Office.) Whereas CAO governs the application process to higher education institutes for undergraduate course, the higher education institutes are responsible for your admissions.

You can find numerous resources that will guide you about various higher education institutes, courses offered, disciplines, career areas, locations and course codes.
